American Screenwriter · Film Director

Jeffrey Reddick began his career in entertainment fueled by a lifelong passion for storytelling and horror. Best known as the creator of the hit Final Destination franchise, Jeffrey wrote the original screenplay and served as executive producer on the sequel, helping shape one of the most iconic horror series of the 2000s. He went on to pen the screenplay for Tamara and contributed to the remake of Day of the Dead, further cementing his reputation in the genre.

Reddick's journey started early—at just 14, inspired by A Nightmare on Elm Street, he wrote a prequel and sent it to New Line Cinema. That bold move led to a long-standing relationship with studio head Robert Shaye and an internship at New Line, where Jeffrey worked for nearly 11 years before launching his screenwriting career full-time. Originally aspiring to be an actor, Reddick shifted his focus to writing during a time when non-traditional casting was rare.

A proud Berea College graduate and lifelong horror fan, Jeffrey draws inspiration from classics like A Nightmare on Elm Street, V: The Final Battle, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. With a career built on persistence, creativity, and a deep love for the genre, he remains a powerful voice in horror cinema.
